A new agreement was signed in Banja Luka between the AP Vojvodina and the Republic of Srpska

Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Ognjen Bjelić met today with the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship, Vjekoslav Petričević, in the Government of Republic of Srpska.

On behalf of the Provincial Government and the Government of Srpska, Secretary Bjelić and Minister Petričević signed an Agreement on the Joint Presentations of the two Governments at the Leading International Investment Fair Events.

Pursuant to this agreement, the Government of the Republic of Srpska shall accept participation in joint events, established by the program of events for each calendar year, prepared by the Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government.

As stated above, the aforementioned joint presentations will achieve greater visibility at the events, better presentation, as well as rationalisation of the costs of both partners.

Mr. Bjelić and Mr. Petričević emphasised that today’s document was another confirmation of the continuous work in strengthening the cooperation between Srpska and Vojvodina, over the past two years, when the Protocol on Cooperation between Vojvodina and Srpska had been signed in Novi Sad, creating a legal framework for deepening cooperation in the areas of health, education, culture and scientific research.

“By specifying today’s document, we are opening the door to strengthening of interregional cooperation, with an emphasis on economic potential,” Mr. Bjelić said.

He emphasised that that type of cooperation, joint participation in international investment fair events, with the aim of presenting the economic and tourism potentials in the market, as successfully as possible, were proved and effective methods in economic strengthening and attracting significant investments.

The document was signed in the Government of the Republic of Srpska, in the presence of Prime Minister Radovan Višković and Vice-President of the Provincial Government, Đorđe Milićević.
