The Provincial Government has allocated funds for the promotion of agricultural production and processing capacity equipment

Today, President of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirović has awarded contracts to agricultural cooperatives for the award of grants for the purchase of equipment and systems for improving agricultural production and processing capacity equipment.

These are 14 contracts worth 150 million dinars, and this call for proposals was implemented by the Vojvodina Development Agency with 50 million dinars.

“This is a new incentive measure of the Vojvodina Development Agency, which will enable the purchase of the state-of-the-art equipment for agricultural cooperatives and which we will continue to implement in years to come. Since its establishing in 2016, the Agency has justified its role with incentives for new employment and for the procurement of machinery and equipment, primarily in small and medium-sized companies, but it has also improved the business environment and facilitated employment, especially in smaller communities, following the principles of transparency and clear criteria when allocating funds,” said President Mirović.

He added that the Vojvodina Development Agency had had an important role in promoting the potential of the AP Vojvodina in the country and abroad, and some of the investors would come to the AP Vojvodina in the forthcoming months, due to its commitment.

“We aim to support the local economy, entrepreneurs and domestic cooperatives, together with the Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government,” said Director of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Nikola Žeželj.

The event was also attended by Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Government, Ognjen Bjelić.
