Agreed joint presentations at international fair events

On 16 December 2019, Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Ognjen Bjelić met with Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship in the Government of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević in Banja Luka, for the purpose of making the agreement on joint presentations of the Republic of Srpska and the AP Vojvodina at prestigious international fair events.

Today’s meeting represents a step forward in the implementation of the agreement on joint presentations at the fair events of Vojvodina and the Republic of Srpska, signed a month ago in Banja Luka.

“This is the most positive example of how strong political relations and increasingly intensive cooperation between Serbia and Srpska create space for the realisation of very significant projects for mutual benefit ”, Bjelić said.

These are the leading international fair events that the AP Vojvodina has already participated in. Vojvodina and the Republic of Srpska will jointly participate in three fairs during 2020. The first is expected as early as in February – the fruit and vegetable fair “Fruit Logistics” in Berlin, then comes the winery fair “Vinitaly” in Verona and the most significant investment and real estate fair “Expo Real” in Munich in early October.

Secretary Bjelić reminded that these were the most frequent fairs where it was necessary to put the maximum effort, and he expressed hope that through good organisation and quality presentation of potentials, Vojvodina and the Republic of Srpska would jointly establish significant contacts with leading world companies in numerous fields and attract high-quality investments.

During the meeting at the Government of the Republic of Srpska, representatives of the Vojvodina Development Agency presented their experiences so far, regarding the procedures and conditions that must be fulfilled before participating in the events of this rank.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Nikola Žeželj and Assistant Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Nebojša Drakulić.
