Provincial Government delegation visited the „Fruit Logistica 2020“ Fair in Berlin

The Provincial government delegation, headed by Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Ognjen Bjelić, is on a two-day visit to Berlin, where the International fruit and vegetable producer fair “Fruit Logistica 2020” is underway.

This is one of the leading events among the producers of fresh fruit and vegetables, held every year in Berlin. This year’s “Fruit Logistica” gathered over three thousand exhibitors from almost hundred countries and regions, including the AP Vojvodina.

The “Sweet Cherry Lady” private family cherry farm, the “Vranic” hazelnut plantation, the “Agronom” vegetable and arable crop producers cooperative, the “Sirmium Fruit” producer and exporter of nectarines,  the “Krsturska paprika” agricultural cooperative, the “Carska bašta” Company which brings together local vegetable producers, the “Vlabons Group” family apple producers, as well as the COPA apple producers cooperative, all took part in the Berlin fair.

During his visit to the joint stand of the representatives of Vojvodina, Secretary Bjelić expressed his satisfaction for the fact that companies from the territory of our province, in successful cooperation with the Vojvodina Development Agency, regularly participated in world fair events and that the quality of their offer was improving every year.

He reminded that these were the most frequent fairs, where it was necessary to put the maximum effort, and expressed hope that, through quality presentation of its potentials, Vojvodina would manage to establish significant contacts with leading world companies in the field of fruit and vegetable production, thereby attracting high-quality investments.

Apart from numerous producers, this large event brings together importers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers, product packaging and handling experts, transport and logistics professionals, and all those who form part of the big picture of this sector.

The Provincial Government delegation at the Berlin Fair also included Provincial Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Vuk Radojević, Director of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Nikola Žeželj and Head of the Promotion Department of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Olivera Kovačević.
